Precious Mason - Vocalist
All eyes are on Precious even as she shares stages with some of the greats. She has sung backup for Otis Day, Buddy Guy, the Staple Singers and the Chi-Lites, and she has opened for Brian McKnight, Luther Vandross and Rachell Farell. Talented, classy and versatile, her favorite musical genre is whatever she’s singing at the moment. Audiences fall for her. Every time.
Rico Stephens - Vocalist
Rico was a regular on television’s “Soul Train” for most of the 70’s before touring nationally as lead singer, percussionist, and choreographer for the performance band, “Hot Ice.” With the high-energy jazz band, “Turn Pike,” Rico continued to polish his spectacular vocal range and stage presence. Rico has shared a stage with R. Kelly, Kanye West, Tyrone Davis, Nelli Travis and the Temptations.
Dana Legg - Trombone
As in-demand as it gets, Dana considers it a privilege to call Chicago home. A professional trombone player since 1979, he is a national leader in jazz and musical education. A frontman since he was just 15, Dana has played all over the world with jazz groups, klezmer bands, and pop groups – even playing for the Ringling Brothers Circus and The Guy Lombardo Orchestra. The Dana Legg Stage Band is currently working on the follow-up to their debut CD, “Boneheads.”
Robert Burkes - Guitar
As guitarist for the Chi-Lites, Robert is one of Chicago’s most in-demand musicians. And although he doesn’t steal the spotlight, he often finds himself there anyway. Since his high school days as a young professional, he has carved a spot in the nightly Chicago blues and jazz club scene where his unique sound can be heard almost every night of the week.
Eric Harvey - Bass
As any knowledgeable musician will tell you, “The bass is the backbone to any musical group.” And Eric is the consummate professional who takes his job as the foundation of the group to the next level. As evidenced by his stellar track record of studio recordings, he is quite the commodity. Eric plays regularly with Daryl Steurmer (Phil Collins’ guitarist) and most notably the jazz group Detour.
Del Bennett - Drums
Del is a professional and much sought after bandleader who also happens to be an amazing drummer. His list of co-performers includes many industry insiders such as Daryl Steurmer, Paul Cebar, Kevin Sucher, Mary White, Chris Martinez, and Mary Karizen. As diverse as they come, Del has fronted jazz, R&B and rock bands and cut hundreds of jingles, educational recordings, and commercial CDs. Del’s debut CD is entitled “Full Circle.”
Dan Mackey - Sax
Dan is recognized in the industry as one of the best saxophones in the country. In addition, he also plays every other woodwind instrument as if it were his first choice. Need a wedding service flute? Want to rock the house with an electric saxophone? Dan is THE soloist of choice. And, oh yeah, he can sing lead or back up vocals for any band, any time.
Terry Guynes - Trumpet
Terry Guynes, earned his Bachelors Degree in Music Education and Trumpet Performance from Western Illinois University in 1991, and his Master of Arts in Music Education from Northern Illinois University in 2005. Terry has had the honor of performing with such musicians as the Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Maynard Ferguson, Frank Mantooth, Paul Cacia, Tony Bennett, Diane Schuur, Ernie Watts and Snooky Young of the Original Tonight Show Band, and Max Weinberg the Drummer and Band Leader for the Late Night With Conan OBrien television show. He has performed in 4 countries, in addition to his performances across the United States. He is an active recording artist on commercials both local and national, and he is an active advocate of the arts and arts education. In addition to his performance credits, he is also an accomplished educator.
Lou Cucunato - Keyboards
Lou is a performer, but more than that, he is a teacher. He stays on top of his keyboarding game by challenging young talent in music theory at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Lou’s circuit includes clubs, solo performances, and the national touring productions of Mama Mia, Hairspray, and the revival of Thoroughly Modern Mille. He has worked closely with Little Eva, the Four Aces, Little Anthony & The Imperials, and Bobby Vinton. Lou has achieved near legendary status gracing the grand in the main lobby at Milwaukee’s historic Pfister Hotel.
